The ESA, European Space Agency, is delighted to announce that it is receiving more funding offers than hoped for. The initial EUR600 Mln target has been surpassed, according to Bruno Gardini.
ExoMars developers will focus on its rover and landing systems, the inflatable braking device, power supply, autonomy, and navigation.
After the initial Beagle 2 lander, ExoMars will explore Mars and hopefully get back on Earth in order for its discoveries to be used, unlike the controversial Beagle 2.
ExoMars will calculate the return path with consideration to variables like wind speed, temperature and humidity, hoping to succeed a safe landing.
A Life Marker Chip (LMC), will scan dust and terrain samples from Mars, letting ExoMars discover whether aminoacids, cellular membranes or pigments can be found, possibly meaning that life exists on Mars.
