IBM earns the most number of US patents for 2005

IBM, one of the world's biggest computer companies, topped the list of US private-sector patent recipients for the thirteenth year in a row as it received 2,941 patents in 2005, it was announced Monday.
It also has the distinction of having 1,100 more patents than any other company.
