Mobile TV is rapidly becoming one of the most interesting and popular video content distribution methods, and the customer feedback received by UK mobile TV service provider O2 fully confirms it.
Thus, according to a report by Reuters, the company said that early feedback from customer trials had shown strong demand for mobile TV, seeking to turn up the pressure on the regulator to release spectrum needed for the service early.
O2, which is set to be taken over by Spain's Telefonica this month, started TV trials using the DVB-H technology in Oxford last September along with transmission partner Arqiva.
It said 76 percent of 375 customers participating in the trial said they would take up the service within a year.
The company also said that 83 percent of the users in the trial, who were offered round-the-clock live access to 16 television channels, were satisfied with the services provided, and on average watched TV on mobiles for 3 hours a week.
