Researchers at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County have revealed that the fossil remains of the biggest bird ever found, have been discovered. This discovery was made by a curious high school student about three years back in the Patagonia region of Argentina.

Guillermo Aguirre-Zabiala discovered the almost intact fossil skull measuring 28 inches from the rock outcrops near his village. He was so fascinated by his discovery that he decided to change his course of study to paleontology from psychology.

Known as the “terror bird” it is the largest known bird to have ever lived inhabiting the South American savanna, more than 15 million years ago.
