Palm has released the eagerly-anticipated Treo 750 for Cingular, which is compatible with the carrier’s next-generation high-speed UMTS network. The Treo 750 trades the slightly chunky design and short external antenna of its predecessors for a sleeker look, featuring a soft-touch, rubberized exterior. Other features include a 240×240-pixel touchscreen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a miniSD flash card slot for additional storage, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
UMTS allows serious multi-taskers to access voice and data simultaneously, checking e-mail while on a phone call, for example. The Treo 750 is compatible with international networks built on GSM and GPRS, which will enable it full-featured access in over 60 foreign countries, including most of Europe, Japan and China
