Microsoft is yet again trying to follow Google, this time in the online listing market. The software giant will attempt to fight Google to newspaper and internet listing services.
The company's online division, MSN tested a new service that will allow users to enter personal items. Users will be able to search through them using a specialized search engine.
The new service's name is Fremont, and has been in a testing period of about a week for Microsoft employees. A public test is due in a few weeks.
Microsoft claims that it has been developing Fremont for since early 2005, earlier than Google Base was announced.
